How does Lepaya’s API handle large-scale user training data imports?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on integrating our internal HR system with Lepaya to sync employee training data, and I’m looking into using the Lepaya API to automate batch imports. We’re dealing with fairly large datasets (500–1000 users per batch, with historical training logs), and I wanted to ask:

Does the API support bulk data imports natively, or should we throttle requests manually?

Are there rate limits we should be aware of during high-volume syncs?

How does the API handle conflicts (e.g., if a user already exists with outdated training info)?

Is there a sandbox or staging environment available for testing before going live?

Any tips or best practices from other devs who’ve done this before would be really appreciated!
